'When Songbirds Intertwine' is a poem meant to prod at the underlying song of an intense relationship. It begins in hesitance, and too quickly crescendoes to extreme connection before ultimately and abruptly dropping to apathy, or, worse, contempt. My aim was to conduct the reader through the sensation in a narrative-, ballad-like fashion.

the medium for the piece is a short story, and the reason I made this was for a narrative assignment meaning I took a memory which could have been any but I decided on the time I had went on a trip to Nebraska and about my fear of going on a boat in a lake, which was turned to a Narrative standpoint.
