like looking at the moon

you swept me up to soon

the magic, it was there

but the feelings were nowhere

I could feel the trance you had

my mind and body couldn't get across the

fad

the pieces they all fell

my eyes they could see so well

the lies you had told

the burden that i hold

my rose tinted heart shattered

my feelings they had splattered

you witnessed but did not learn

it was you that I yearn for

I'm here in front of you, notice me

all my life I had searched

for the treasure to be cursed

this heart that you claim

handles all my pain

you were so perfect at first

when was I the water to quench your thirst

maybe in the afterlife I'll be wished for

but right now, you want me no more
