My experiences going to Mexico to visit family inspired this poem. The message was for me to explain how visiting family makes everything better, especially seeing your culture more everyday being around that everyday really changes how you think and your feelings. Every time I go I am the happiest ever being with family and being around my culture more than I am at home. I am proud of how I followed the rules and how I repeated everything but in the end it all came together. I used villanelle and it was very difficult at first to start it and come up with repeating sentences but I found a topic and stuck to it.
